How to stop overthinking: 5 strategies - health comes first.
Overthinking can cause many problems in human life.
As an overthinker, I have been through a lot, and trust me it's not that easy as people say it but it can be only if a particular person wants to change or improve herself/himself. It depends on; how you act or are serious about the change. If you don't try to change yourself then you may lead to depression and it may cause a lot like literally a lot that you can't even imagine.
SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION:
- You may feel nauseous
- You may feel lonely most of the time
- You may feel blank like in seconds and normal again
- You may feel low
- You may feel to cry out loud
- You may need a hug
- You may feel scared among people
- You may want to talk but you don't want too
- You may feel aggressive
- Your mood may swing thousands of times a day
I did felt lonely 24/7 even if I'm with family or friends yet felt lonely and like it too like my own space. I did also wanted to talk with someone like a person who understands me and talks with me 24/7 but it's not possible because you may cant find a person to talk with you all the time like everyone is having or living their own busy life and you may feel it more and that's how the part of moods gets in and this damn thing is a killer. You may be able to talk politely or calmly you may mind even a single or simple thing and your friends may think you are a psycho but believe me, it will pass by ONLY if YOU believe in yourself.
5STRATEGIES: WHICH CHANGE MY LIFE;
- Try to divert your mind
- Build a healthy hobby
- Keep yourself busy
- Play games - like video games
- Meditating
Whenever a negative thought appears in your mind, try to dodge it with a positive one like a "HAPPY THOUGHT" which could be something you like or something good, which makes you feel good about it; for example "what if I become the best seller of the year and travel around the year? wow, that would be cool."
I do think things like encouraging, motivating, or inspiring myself with some awesome inspiration around the globe. I mean just have a look and think that if they can then that means I can too. I am not the that bad author or writer may need a bit of improvement but still I AM THE BEST.
Build a healthy hobby, which may be joining a gym or working out or cycling or writing or reading or early to bed or early to rise. I don't actually go early to bed or early to rise because sleep means give your body a rest but when your body is not ready to rest then how can you fall asleep? I do sleep late but wake early and yes, I do fall asleep afternoon time too because my body needs to rest. Keep yourself busy all the time like at least for a week to see the change, like do house chores or go for outings or meet a friend or spend time with family or your pets. Try to play games, it can be physical games like chess or something or a video game but I love video games because it is something you may play with your friends from far destination and meet new friends online. Meditating; well this is something you may need the most; just close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out; you may do meditating in sitting posture on a chair or on the ground and also by laying on your bed because I did that and trust while doing it you may fall asleep. It's relaxing and do watch videos on youtube or somewhere, where you can find proper instructions about it.
Well, that's how I dragged myself from that phase and I believe you will too because nothing is impossible until you believe yourself. It's all up to you, how to take care of yourself for future you and be an inspiration for the ones; who have been looking at you.
I am a great writer I believe that but also believe that I'm still in my learning process, so;
